How do I Assign a Test Prep Assignment?

What is Test Prep?

Educators may assign Test Prep assignments to their classes. Players will receive passages and questions aligned to their state's English/Language Arts standardized test. Once assigned, students will receive passages and questions through normal gameplay and they will be notified that they are working on an assignment. Players will see a progress bar within the question/passage window along with the assignment name and its due date.. Educators can view students' progress in the Assignment Report.

Note: Our General Test Prep assignments are aligned with learning standards for the following states and provinces: Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Ontario, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

How do I assign Test Prep?

1. From your Shoelace Educator dashboard use the left navbar to select the Library found under Assignments (collapsible tab). 

2. Select Test Prep on the left, to filter the results to only show Test Prep assignments. You can further filter these results by using the grade filter.

3. You can find more details about each assignment by clicking on the (?) in the details column.

4. Now you can set start and end dates, edit the name of the assignment and choose who to assign it to. You have the choice to select the entire class or individual players. When you’re ready, click “Create Assignment”.

5. Your assignment is created. You can track the progress of the assignment at any time from the “My Assignments” tab.
