Co-teacher support is now available for schools and districts on an enterprise plan. This feature allows multiple educators — including classroom teachers, literacy coaches, ELL specialists, special-education teachers, paraprofessionals, and substitutes — to share full access to a class.
Who Can Do This
District and school administrators will be able to assign co-teachers via the Admin Dashboard.
Co-teachers will automatically see shared classes in their My Classes view.
For immediate assistance, please reach out to support@shoelacelearning.com to have co-teachers added.
What Co-Teachers Can See and Do
Once added, co-teachers have full, equal access to the class. This includes:
- Creating and managing assignments
- Viewing student details and progress
- Running Class Missions
- Editing the class roster and class information
- Viewing reports and engagement analytics
There are no partial permissions or restricted views for co-teachers.
How It Looks in Shoelace
For admins, co-teachers appear directly in the My Classes view under the Co-Teachers column, alongside the primary teacher. You may need to hover over the number in the Teacher column to view other teachers registered to the class.
Teachers will see which other teachers are assigned to the class from the 'Manage Classes' screen.
