How to Play Dreamseeker Drift
This article explains basic gameplay and hearts. To learn about MCoins, Coins, and Stars, see Currencies in Drift.
Welcome to Drift
When you first make your account, you start with three hearts. That means you can start your first Run right away. You’ll be taken to a tutorial. We’ve included the instructions from the tutorial below.
You can jump over short obstacles, but not tall ones.
You can slide under obstacles with a gap underneath.
Hearts
Hearts are a resource you can gain by answering questions correctly, and lose by running into obstacles. You can have a maximum of 3 hearts at a time. If your hearts hit 0, your run will end and you’ll be brought back to the main menu.
On the main menu, you can see how many hearts you have at the top of the screen
If you have fewer than 3 hearts while you're on the main menu, you can use the Shoelace Learning Zone to answer questions and gain hearts.
When you’re running, you can see your current number of hearts in the lower left corner.
When you hit an obstacle, you lose a heart. When this happens, you’ll have the chance to answer a question. If you choose to answer and get the question right, you’ll get your heart back. If you skip the question or get it wrong, your heart will stay lost. When you lose your third heart, your run will end.
Questions
Answering questions correctly earns you hearts and coins. To answer questions, click on Shoelace Learning Zone.
Then, hit “Answer a question”.
You’ll be given questions based on your grade level. Good luck and happy running!
