Google SSO 3rd party confirmation

This change by Google will only affect players who use Google SSO to log into the games. Players can continue to access the games directly with their username and password or via Clever. You can access and print your players login information from the My Players page on your dashboard.

As of October 23, 2023, in order to protect student data privacy, Google will restrict under 18 users from using Google SSO to access third-party applications unless the apps are pre-approved in the Google Admin Console. 

In order to prevent any disruption for your students and to allow them to continue to be able to login to Dreamscape and Dreamseeker Drift, Admins must mark both games as trusted apps in the Google Admin Console.

Steps to approve SSO with Google: 

Note: You must be the Google Admin in order to complete this. If you do not have access, please raise this issue to your school or district. 

1. Start by going to the introductory page of the guided experience. Click "Continue" to proceed to the first step, where you will need to confirm settings for unconfigured third-party applications. 
2. If "Don't allow users to access any third-party apps (Default setting)" is selected, please carefully review the list of apps and their associated settings under the "Access (for top-level org unit)" column. 
3. To add approval for both games (Dreamscape and Dreamseeker Drift) as trusted apps, click "Add app" followed by "OAuth App Name or Client ID" and then search for either Dreamscape and Dreamseeker Drift. Note that you will need to approve each game.
4. Confirm that each game has been properly designated as "Trust." Review the provided confirmation information, and then click "Confirm" to complete the process.
